Bangladeshi popular actress of present time Rafiath Rashid Mithila has been cast in the role of Lady Macbeth from William Shakespeare's tragedy ‘Macbeth’ in her upcoming Indian film titled ‘Maya.’ In the film Mithila is playing the lead role of Lady Macbeth. Directed by Raajhorshee De.
Mithila will portray women of three generation in the film ‘Maya’. A woman of three different age groups – 17-18 years old, 30 years old and 50 years old. The story is written from the perspective of women. Maya is actually the symbol of all women. Those who do not want to live in society with their head held high and want to move forward with determination towards their goals. This is what is shown in the whole story.
Along with Mithila a bunch of Tollywood stars including Rahul Arunodaya Banerjee, Gaurab Chatterjee, Gaurab Chakraborty, Tanushree Chakraborty, Sudipta Banerjee are featured in the film titled ‘Maya’
Most of the films shooting will be shot in Kolkata. According to reports, last year due to the coronavirus pandemic the filming was postponed. The cast is currently in Kolkata to complete the shooting.
Recently Maya's poster was unveiled at a restaurant in Kolkata's Salt Lake Sector 5 name Five Mad Men. On the occasion everyone's clothes were seen in red or black. Actress Sudipta Banerjee are will be seen in an important role in the film titled 'Maya'. Rahul Arunodaya Banerjee is also starring in the film.
On the work front Mithila’s Dhallywood debut with Anonno Mamun's film titled ‘Omansuh’ alongside actor Nirab Hossain release date is yet to be announced.
