The actress has stepped into the world of web series as well. Recently she joined the second season of Hoichoi’s popular web series titled 'Montu Pilot’ that features Saurav Das, Solanki Roy, Chandreyee Ghosh, Kanchan Mullick and Subrata Dutta in the main roles.
The shooting of the series has started from January 27. The journey of this project has started from Kalighat in Kolkata. Although there were plans to start filming earlier. However Mithila could not able to take part in the shooting as her husband Srijit Mukherjee and daughter Ayra were infected with coronavirus. That is why she was also in home quarantine and took part in the filming later when they recovered.
The web series 'Montu Pilot' was directed by Debaloy Bhattacharya and this time too he will give the direction to the new season. Chandrayi Ghosh, Kanchan Mallick, Olivia Sarkar and others also acted in different roles in the first season.
The series is about the character Montu who wanted to be a pilot in his childhood. His mother tried everything to take him out from the red-light area of Neelkuthi but failed and met a terrible end. Montu becomes a pimp, a transporter of escorts, and he does not understand love and cannot feel sensitive emotions. However, his life changes when he meets Bhromor.
The first series of the series was aired in 2019, now the second season of the series is starting and Bangladeshi actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila is joining the new episode.
