Members of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) rescued the missing Rajshahi University admission seeker Mohua and returned her to her mother.
Zamirul Islam, Additional Commissioner of RMP informed, the Admission Tests for the first-year graduate (honours) of Rajshahi University for the 2023-2024 academic year were held on the second day (Wednesday, March 6) on the varsity campus. Mohua came to Rajshahi with her mother from Magura to attend the admission tests.
She went to appear at the admission tests for the unit' A' held at the Sheikh Russel Model School Centre at 9-00 a.m. keeping the Mobile Phone set with her motherwho was waiting outside and came out of the centre at 10-00 a.m.
But, among thousands of students and their attendants, Mohua failed to find out her mother. Her mother also started searching Mohua with deep concern. Failing to detect her daughter, Mother of Mohua went to the Control Room of RMP of RU and requested police to search out her daughter.
On duty Deputy Commissioner Modhusudan Roy at the Control Room informed through radio all the stations under RMP to find out Mohua. Police, however, rescued Mohua from a place near the campus within a short time and handed her over to her mother.
Mother of Mohua expressed her gratitude to the police and said, she was very glad to get back her daughter and said, she had no idea that police would rescue her daughter so soon.
