Bandar thana police on Thursday night recovered a male decomposed body from Kalagachhia area under Bandar upazila in Narayanganj district.
Police recovered the body as an unknown person. But on information Morsheda Begum wife of Jakir Mia, resident of Char Baktabali under Fatulla police station identified the body as her husband who went missing on September 16.
Deceased Jakir Mia,52, son of Rashid Mia, resident of Baktabali area under Fatulla police station went missing on September 16 and thus his wife Morsheda Begum recorded a general diary (GD) with Fatulla police on September 19.
After 34 days of missing police recovered Jakir Mia’s decomposed body. Morsheda Begum filed a murder case with Bandar police station claimed that her husband was killed by criminal gang as her husband earlier filed a GD with Fatulla police against a municipality member named Abdur Rashid who was elected from ward no-1 of Baktabali union.
Officer in Charge of Bandar police station Abu Bakar Siddik said that the criminals will be arrested soon.
