Some unidentified miscreants looted Tk 1 lakh and 75 thousands cash and 15-20 bhori of gold ornaments after break in through room window at Savar municipality mayor’s house at Bank Colony area of Savar, on outskirts of the capital, on Monday midnight.
A case and a general diary were filed with Savar model police station in this connection. AFM Sayeed, officer-in-charge of Savar model police station, confirmed the matter. Meanwhile, Abdul Goni, Mayor of Savar municipality and President of, Savar municipal unit of Awami League, claimed that it was not just a stolen case or robbery, the miscreants were entered his house for killing him.
He said, “Miscreants were entered my house for kill me centering political feud. But fortunately I was not there last night; therefore, they attempt to establish the matter as theft. I want good investigation into the incident.” I have filed a general diary with Savar model police station referring to the insecurity of life.
