In 1985, Sheikh Niyamt Ali made a film along with Humayun Faridi and Bobita titled ‘Dohon’.Later in 2016, Raihan Rafi made a movie with the same name 'Dohon' with Mamo, Siam and Puja. Rituparno Ghaesh from Tollygunge of Kolkata made the movie 'Dohon' with the actress Rituparna. Chayanika Chowdhury of Bangladesh has also made a play called 'Dohon'.
This time the young producer Barnanath is making a play with the same name. Swadhin Shah, Mamo Rubel and Barnanath are in direction of this play 'Dohon'. Mir Sabbir and Tanjika Amin are playing the lead characters in the story.
Regarding the play, Mir Sabbir said, "The play focuses on two characters. The story of husband and wife. They are divorced. They started living in a separate room before the divorce. This is where the story begins. The audience should watch the play during the promotion. Barnanath is a prudent director. My co-star in this play is Tanjika, she is really awesome as an actress. She has worked with me in many plays. At the same time, every play I have acted in has been popular with the audience.
That is why I am optimistic about the play 'Dohon'. If Tanjika does drama regularly, it is good for us.”
Tanjika Amin said, “The script of the story ‘Dohon’ is very beautiful. Sabbir Bhai and I tried to do our job well. The audience will be able to say better. As a co-artist, Mir Sabbir Bhai was very supportive. If he is there, even if there is work pressure, the work can be done very easily.”
Tanzika Amin made her acting debut in a series with Mir Sabbir. They have also acted in a seven-episode Eid drama called 'Gangster Alley'.
