Dhallywood popular actress Bidya Sinha Mim finally ties knot with her fiancé banker Soni Poddar at a grand hotel, in accordance with traditional Hindu rituals on Tuesday Jan 4.
Mim and Soni's wedding photos have come out publicly and has been circulating across social media. The actress was dressed in a red Benarsi lehenga, and Soni in a Sherwani Punjabi.
The news was confirmed by Mim's family sources. Mim's father said that only family members and close relatives of the couple were present at the wedding.
Mim got engaged to Soni on her birthday Nov 10 last year. The couple met each other via a common friend, six years ago. But neither of them made it public. They kept their relationship secret, so much so that family members didn't even notice. During the engagement, she said, there is no thought of sudden marriage. However, the couple changed their plans and got married in the end.
Soni Poddar was born and raised in Comilla. He studied at BRAC University in Dhaka. After working in a few banks, he is currently working in a senior position at City Bank.
Meanwhile on the work front, two new movies starring Mim are awaiting release. Of these, 'Paran' which will be released on February 14 and 'Damal' may be released in March. The actress has also done another movie titled 'Antarjal' which is also awaits for release.
