The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in three districts of the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing at 9am today.
"Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna and Naogaon and it may continue," said the bulletin.
Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with temporary gusty or squally wind is also likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country, it added.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 37.0 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi, while the minimum temperature today was 25.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Rangamati and Feni.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 94 mm at Chattogram.
The sun sets at 6.47 pm today and rises at 5.23 am tomorrow in the capital.
