Gelatofix is a hyped one nowadays for serving lip smacking gelatos in a very reasonable price. But is gelato a type of ice cream or is ice cream a type of gelato?
Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream. It starts out with a similar custard base as ice cream, but has a higher proportion of milk and a lower proportion of cream and eggs (or no eggs at all). It is churned at a much slower rate, incorporating less air and leaving the gelato denser than ice cream. Basically if you're a health conscious person you can opt for gelato over ice cream.
The one I have tasted recently was Milan Mokacchino. Dark chocolate in combination with mocha flavour makes it an intense, bitter but tasty gelato. This gelato has very little sugar, less butterfat and has no artificial flavours or colours. If you can handle dark chocolate then you will love it. But for a safer option you can also try their Dark Chocolate Gelato. Please remember that tastes vary from person to person and not everyone is fond of dark chocolate or bitter flavours.
