A microbus caught fire on Nabinagar-Chandra highway in Ashulia, on the outskirts of capital Dhaka, on Sunday.
The incident took place in front of Ashulia Police Station around 12:00pm.
Ziaul Islam, Inspector of Ashulia police station confirmed the matter to The Bangladesh Post.
Jahangir Alam, Senior Station Officer of DEPZ fire service said, on information, a unit of fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the.
No casualties reported but the vehicle was burned completely, he added.
However, firefighter official Jahangir Alam said they suspected the fire caused due to leakage from the vehicle’s CNG gas cylinder line.
Mechanical fault in the vehicle might cause the fire and no casualty reported, Inspector Ziaul Islam said.
