Mercantile Bank PLC has donated total Tk.2.00 crore for the relief and rehabilitation to the flood victims.
Md. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, Managing Director and Mati Ul Hasan, Additional Managing Director of the Bank has been deposited one day's salary of the Bank’s officials in it to the Chief Adviser's Relief Fund.
Subhash Chandra Das, Deputy Managing Director, Sonali Bank PLC received the said cheque.
Mercantile Bank also distributing relief materials from bank’s CSR fund among flood-affected peoples in that areas through local branch and sub branch of the bank’s.
The decision was taken to allocate money for the flood victims in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the bank was held on August 22nd.
