Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) President Hasanul Haq Inu, former state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak and former inspector general of police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun were ordered to be sent to jail by a court.
After the completion of their remand, the investigating officer presented them before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Thursday morning, requesting their detention in jail.
Their lawyers submitted bail applications, but after the hearing, the court rejected the petitions and ordered to send them jail.
On the same day, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun was shown as arrested in four cases—two under Vatara Police Station and two under Khilgaon Police Station.
