Sarankhola Upazila Administration on Thursday held meeting to celebrate the upcoming Durga Puja in the upazila.The meeting was held at the meeting room of the Upazila. Sarankhola Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sudipta Kumar Singha presided over it.
Sarankhola Police Station Officer-in-Charge AHM Kamruzzaman, Upazila BNP Member Secretary and Southkhali Union Parishad former Chairman Md Anowar Hossain Ponchayet, Convener of Sarankhola Press Club Sheikh Mohammad Ali, Sarankhola Puja Udjapan Parishad president Babul Das, its general secretary Gopal Karmakar, officers of the administration and leaders of Puja Udjapan Parishad were present at the meeting.
Several decisions, including adequate security and installing CCTV cameras, were taken at the meeting. Durga Puja will be held at 20 mandaps in Sarankhola this year. Puja Udjapan Parishad president Babul Das said Durga Puja will be started from October 9.
