The 140th birth anniversary of Mawlana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani was celebrated at the Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology (MBUST) in Tangail.
To mark the day, MBUST Vice-Chancellor Prof Md. Alauddin along with the teachers paid tribute to the shrine of Maulana Bhasani.
Leaders and members of Maulana Bhasani Memorial Management Committee, University Officers Association, 3rd and 4th Class Employees' Association, Bhasani Parishad, Bangabandhu Parishad, Chhatra League and various educational institutions of the campus also paid tribute to Mawlana Bhasani.
A dua and Milad Mahfil was held at the Central Jame Mosque of the University. Besides, winter clothes were distributed among the destitute following a discussion meeting organized by the University and Mawlana Bhasani Memorial Management Committee with the help of Tangail District Administration at the Durbar Hall of the campus at 10 am.
The program was attended by the Deans, Registrars, Hall Provosts, Proctors, Heads of the Departments, Teachers, Officers and Staff from all the faculties of the University.
