An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck the Turkey-Syria border on Monday, causing a high number of casualties and fatalities. In response, countries around the world and various international organizations are offering their support and assistance to the affected populations of Turkey and Syria. Like other nations, the Turkish ambassador to Bangladesh, Mustafa Osman Turan, has appealed to the people of Bangladesh for help.
In response to the humanitarian crisis in Turkey, the MASTUL Foundation, on behalf of the people of Bangladesh, has stood by the affected victims. They have provided 7000 packs of dry food, over 200 burial clothes and dead-body bags, and 200 blankets. Although the amount of support provided is not enough, the Turkish authorities still appreciate the quick response. The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TiKA) authorities in Bangladesh advised, "Please provide us with the dead body bags as much as you can."
MASTUL Foundation Founder and Executive Director Kazi Reaz Rahman said, “We work for humanity. We know how painful it is for a nation when it is essential to bury thousands of dead bodies. We did it during the time of covid -19. This is the reason we are with the affected victims."
He added, "The MASTUL Foundation has always been working for the nation and its needs, and the people of the country are my inspiration. Now is the time to work for humanity, and I have faith that I will receive the same response from my community as always."
MASTUL Foundation is a socially responsible organization that works to improve the lives of underprivileged individuals by addressing various challenges such as health, nutrition, child rights, vocational training, and support for deceased persons.
