The second dose of coronavirus vaccine is in progress under the mass vaccination campaign to prevent the Covid-19 infection. As part of this, more than 24,400 citizens took the second dose of the vaccine at 75 centers in 75 wards under the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) till Friday morning.
Meanwhile, for those who could not get the second dose of vaccine in their due time, locations have been allotted for the jabs at 5 centers under the DSCC for the next 6 days according to DSCC officials. Confirming the matter, DSCC Public Relation Officer, Abu Naser said “Those who could not get the first dose of the vaccine could get the second dose from Khilgaon, Dhalpur, Azimpur, Mugda and Koshaituli Urban Primary Health Care Centers under the corporation from Friday till next Thursday.

The second dose of this six-day vaccine can be taken from any center of convenience.”
Until Friday morning, 13,264 men and 11,136 women took the second dose of the vaccine in 75 centers in 75 wards under the DSCC. On the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 75th birthday, 80 lakh people were supposed to be vaccinated altogether.
However, that target was not met in one day. Later this activity was extended for one more day. About 8,093,236 people were vaccinated with the first dose during the campaign.
