Financial assistance was provided to the family members of the martyrs of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Dinajpur on Monday with the initiative of Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Federation Dinajpur district north unit.
A total of Tk 2 lakh was provided to the family members of four martyrs. Each family received Tk 50,000.
Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Federation central committee vice-president and director of Dinajpur-Rangpur region Md Golam Rabbani handed over the cash to the family members of the martyrs as the chief guest at a programme at the Paharpur Dinajpur North District Jamaat Office at 11:00am on Monday.
Sramik Kalyan Federation Dinajpur district north unit president Md Zakirul Islam presided over the meeting. Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Dinajpur district north unit Ameer Principal Md Anisur Rahman was present as the special guest at the programme.
Sramik Kalyan Federation Dinajpur district unit general secretary Md Anwar Hossain, vice-president Md Rashedunnabi Babu, Md Belal Hossain, district trade affairs secretary Md Nazmul Islam, executive member of district committee SM Hadiuzzaman, city unit president Md Rashedul Islam Ripon, along with other leaders and activists of Sramik Kalyan Federation Dinajpur district north unit were present there.
At the end of the programme, a prayer was also offered for the salvation of all the martyrs of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and for the recovery of the injured.
