Bangladesh FM Manon Reja Neer lost to Indian Fide Mayank Chakraborty in the fifth round to earn 3.5 points in the 25th Asian Youth Chess Championship of boys U-18 age group after the end of the fifth round games at Al Ain, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday.
Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Warsia Khusbu secured 3.5 points from the same number of round games.
In Boys U-16 group CM Md. Azmaeen Sayor and in Girls Group U-16 WFM Wadifa Ahmed earned three points.
Tasfiqur Rahman and Warsia Haider both secured three points in Boys and Girls U-8 group. In boys U-10 group Oitijja Barua and Muhtadi Tajwar Nasheed achieved 2.5 points. Afsan Rawank Anan got two points in boys U-14. While U-16 in boys group Syed Ridwan earned 1.5 points and girls U-10 Sidratul Muntaha bagged one point from five encounters. Parvez drew with Adireddy Arjun of India, WCM Warsia Khusbu Anoud Eisa Bashkardi of UAE Tashfiqur Rahman beat Khayankhyrwaa Erdnebulgan of Mongalia, WFM Wadifa Ahmed drew with Dumankyzy Alfarabi of Kazakhstan, Muhtadi Tajwar Nasheed beat Makhsatuly Rakhim of Kazakhstan, Warsia Haider beat Kung Fan Hsuan of Taipei, Oitijja Barua beat Gafurov Nazar, Kazi Afsan Rawnak Annan beat Jang Alex of Guam, Syed Ridwan lost to Ali Zenalabeden Hamed of Iraq and Sidratul Muntaha lost to Liu Lillian Yu Ning of Taipei.
