One person cheated Tk. 5,30,000 from a daughter of freedom fighter in the name of giving a government service. She demanded to repay her money through a press conference held at Chuadanga Press Club on June 23.
According to press conference, Muslima Khatun, daughter of freedom fighter Abdul Motaleb of village Joyrampur in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district gave tk. 5,30,000 for getting government service to Sanwar Hossain, son of Golam Hossain of Gulshanpara in Damurhuda upazila town of the district. He did not arrange any government job for her.
She tried to collect the amount from him but failed. Later he gave her two cheques. After submitting the cheques to the concerned bank it was disordered. Muslim Khatun filed a case with Chuadanga Court in this regards.
She stated at the press conference that Sanwar Hossain pressured her to withdraw the case. On June 6, 2020 he bit her at Damurhuda upazila town. After complaining to Superintendent of police he was arrested. He is out of jail in bail and threatening her now.
