A man was stabbed to death by his uncle at Digholiartek village of Narayanganj’s Rupganj upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Sanaullah Sarkar, 33, son of Sattar Sarkar, a resident of Digholiartek village. Police said that a scuffle broke out among the family members of Sanaullah and his uncle Aktar Hossain on Saturday night following a long-lasting family feud.
At one stage, Aktar stabbed Sanaullah with a sharp weapon, leaving the latter severely injured.
Neighbors took injured Sanaullah to Rupganj Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Following the incident, Musliama Akter, wife of the victim filed a murder case against six people with Rupganj Police Station.
Officer-In-Charge of Rupganj police Mahamudul Hasan said Akter was made prime suspect in the case.
No arrest was made but manhunt is on, he said.
Police sent the body to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
