A man was stabbed by some miscreants in Gabtali upazila of Bogura on Friday night for protesting teasing his daughter. Injured Phul Miah is a joint secretary of Sonarai union unit Awami League in the upazila.
The victim’s nephew Abu Sayed said, a stalker often harassed Phul Miah’s daughter on her way to college. As Phul Miah protested the matter, the stalker along with his cohorts stabbed him at Jamidarbari Bazar area around 8.00pm, leaving him injured.
He was, later, admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Detective Branch (DB) of police officer in-charge Aslam Ali said, process is on to detain the criminals involved in the incident.
