One person was killed by road accident in Pakundia upazila on Saturday night (20 June). It is reported that, the accident took place Pularghat Maizhati area under Kishoreganj-Bhairab road in Pakundia upazila of the district.
He was identified as Ahab Uddin (50) of village Shaitkahan under Pakundia upazila in Kishoreanj district.
Police said a CNG coming from Bhairab and a motorcycle heading towards Katiadi collided head-on at around 8pm. Ahab Uddin, a motorcyclist, was seriously injured at the time.
Later, the locals rescued him and took him to Bhagalpur Zahurul Islam Medical College. The doctor on duty declared him dead.
Katiadi Highway Police Inspector Md. Abdus Suban confirmed this.
