Police recovered the body of an unidentified man from the footpath in front of the South Shajahanpur cemetery lane of the capital on Sunday.
The identity of the deceased could not known immediately. However, he was 65 years old.
Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital( DMCH) for autopsy.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Rafiqul Islam of Shahjahanpur Police Station said, “Being informed, we recovered the body of an unidentified man from the footpath in front of the South Shajahanpur cemetery lane. Later, we sent the body to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
Quoting locals he said, the man was beggar in the area, It is suspected that he might have been died of illness.
The reason of his death will be ascertained after getting autopsy report, he added.
