Man fined for feeding 10,000 people in father’s qulkhani

A mobile court has thwarted the feast of 10,000 people arranged by a brickyard owner named Abdus Sattar who did not follow the hygiene rules during the coronavirus infection. Abdullah Kafi, son of late Abdus Sattar, was fined Tk 20,000 for the incident.

The incident took place at Dhopakandi village of Hatikumrul union in Ullapara of Sirajganj around 9 am on Friday.

Ullapara Upazila Executive Officer Md Arifuzzaman said, “The son of a brickyard owner named Sattar, Abdullah Kafi slaughtered ten cows at his father’s qulkhani and organized a feast for 10,000 people. 

A mobile court was conducted as they did not follow any hygiene standards during coronavirus. Seeing the presence of the police with the mobile court, thousands of people who came to the ceremony ran away. None of them had masks on their faces. 

Abdullah Kafi, son of late Abdus Sattar, was fined Tk 20,000 for the incident. Later cooked food was distributed among the poor and helpless people of the village.
