A school teacher was crushed under the wheels of a train in Baliahura area in Kasba Upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as M Shafiqul Islam, 48, senior teacher of a local school.
Police and local sources said Shafiqul Islam died on the spot as a train crushed him while he was crossing the rail tracks around 7:30pm.
On information, Railway police recovered his body. Akhaura Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge M Jashim Uddin Khandaker confirmed the matter to the media.
