National Film Award winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo’s much awaited film titled 'Agamikaal’, directed by Anjan Aich is going to release on June 3. The film was supposed to be released on December 24 last year, but delayed at the last moment.
At the time director Anjan said, 'Since this is a big budget movie, I wanted to do a little more publicity and then release it. As many released films are not doing well at the box office recently, due to the pandemic. In this situation, the audience will not know if the movie is released in a hurry. We want everyone to know about the release of the film and watch it’.
Although the film 'Agamikaal’ could not be released in theaters at that time. However, in January the film was screened at the Cinemaking International Film Festival held in Dhaka. On Wednesday May 19, the director of the film Anjan Aich said that the film is going to hit the big screens for the viewers in more than 40 cinemas across the country on June 3.
According to the director the story of the film is about love and betrayal, a psycho thriller genre. Mamo has played the role of Ripa and Emon will be seen in the role of a newly passed doctor in the film.
This is the first film directed by Anjan Aich and he is very excited before it’s release. He said emphatically, 'I request everyone to go and watch the film it’s a good story film and I bet that everyone will enjoy it.’
Apart from Mamo and Emon the film also features actors like Soochana Azad, Tutul Chowdhury, Shatabdi Wadud, Ashish Khandaker, Faruk Ahmed, Tariq Swapan, Sujat Shimul, Mahbub Shahin and Saberi Alam among others.
