National Film Award-winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo, who has established herself as a versatile artiste by playing a variety of challenging roles, will be seen in a new drama titled ‘Ghran’. Popular actors Irfan Sajjad and Obid Rehan will play two important roles in the Rashedul Islam-directed play.
The play is written by Sarwar Anik, the shooting of the project has been completed at a location in the capital’s Uttara area.
Mamo, who played the role of Neela in the drama said, “Scent (Ghran) often plays an important role in people’s lives. This is the main theme of this play. This is my first work under the direction of Rashed. The director and his entire team have tried to complete the project with utmost care. On the other hand, Obid Bhai and Irfan Sajjad are both experienced actors. I really enjoyed working with them.”
Irfan Sajjad has played the role of Mamo’s ex-husband in the play. He said, “My character in the drama is really interesting. I’ve tried my level best to portray myself according to the character. Obid Bhai, Mamo and others also have given their best effort to the play. All in all, the work has been done very well. I hope the audience will enjoy the drama very much.”
