In a major reshuffle, four directors of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) was transferred and given new responsibilities.
The elite force appointed Lt Colonel Md Munim Ferdous as the new director and spokesperson for its legal and media wing.
A notification, signed by RAB Director General (DG) Barrister Md Harun-or-Rashid, issued in this regard. He replaces former media wing commander Arafat Islam.
Lieutenant Colonel Ferdous, currently serving as the commander of RAB-5 in Rajshahi, will assume his new responsibilities later this week.
Current spokesperson, Commander Arafat Hossain, has been transferred to RAB-8. Commander Hossain had been serving as the spokesperson since April of this year.
RAB-4 commander Lt Colonel Abdur Rahman has been transferred as the director of the RAB headquarters.
The director of RAB-5, Lt Colonel Kazi Jubair Alam Shobhan, has been transferred as the RAB-3 commander, and Lt Colonel Feroz Kabir has been transferred as the head of RAB-5.
