Police detained a mohatamim (head) of a female madrasa on Friday morning from his madrasa campus for violating a minor girl.
The detainee was identified as Abul Khayer Belali, 53, Muhatamim of Kendua Badey Atarobari Ma Hawa (A) Kawmi Mohila Madrasa.
It was known that at about 9.00 am on Friday, the madrasa head called a minor student in his office room and tried to violate her. The child apprehended the matter and started crying.
The other students rushed to the spot after hearing hue and cry of the victim and rescued her from the hands of Abul Khayer Belali. They along with their some guardians confined the madrasa teacher and beaten up. Later, they informed the police.
On information, police rushed to the spot and detained Abul Khayer Belali.
Md Raseduzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Kendua police station, confirmed the matter. He said that a case was filed with police station in this connection.
