Zahedi Foundation, a voluntary organization in Jhenaidah had set an example of humanity by donating two pick up vans to Jhenaidah police on Wednesday evening.
The vans were donated aiming provide better services of the police personnel during their service delivery including maintain law and order in the district.
The pickup vans were donated by Zahedi Foundation executive member and Jhenaidah municipality mayor Qayum Shahried Zahedi Hizol as advised by Zahedi Foundation executive director, also chairman of reputed pharmaceuticals company Radiant Pharmaceuticals Naser Shahried Zahedi Mohul.
Superintendent of police (SP) in Jhenaidah Ashiqur Rahman received the keys of the vehicles from Qayum Shahrier Zahedi Hizol in front of his office. Additional superintendents of police Anwar Sayeed, Imran Zakaria, Jhenaidah Sadar police station officer in charge (OC) Sheikh Sohel Rana, Zahedi Foundation coordinator Tabibur Rahman Labu, member Yunus Ali and Shahin Alam among others present.
During handing over the keys of the vehicles to the police boss, Zahedi Foundation executive member and Jhenaidah municipality mayor Qayum Shahried Zahedi Hizol had urged upon the well to do people to extend their hands to donate various required accessories to police as the supply of some of the important and emergency appliances was not adequate from the government alone.
Police super Ashiqur Rahman had thanked Zahedi Foundation authorities for their kind hearted activities like handing over two motor vehicles for rapid and speedy service delivery of Jhenaidah police. It will help a lot to curb crime and bring peace and stability in the society, Ashiqur Rahman expressed his hope.
