Livestock department had taken initiatives to develop the skill of the women community and remove gender disparity and social inclusion. They have been conducting training to make the programme a success in remote villages. They had organized a daylong training programme of the daily producers’ group (PG) at Bittiraninagar under Mirzapur union of Shailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah on Tuesday morning.
A total of 80 participants including the women from two neighboring villages attended the training course. Presided over by upazila livestock officer (ULO) Dr Mamun Khan, district livestock officer (DLO) Dr Monojit Kumar Sarker attended as chief guest, while district training officer Dr Subrata Kumar Banrjee attended as special guest. Livestock extension officer Dr Raqibul Hasan Shawn facilitated the training course.
The speakers had discussed that we will have to make a livable society where both men and women will enjoy equal rights and share each other for the development of the family with mutual understanding and planning. They had urged upon the farmers, especially, the women so that they can consume the milk as their family demands and sale the same in the market for their socio-economic state development.
