Litton Das, who is going to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time has started practice with his franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Tuesday.
Shakib Al Hasan feels that he should enjoy if he gets a chance to play in a match. The Bangladeshi Test and T20 captain believes that the stylish batter's IPL experience will be useful in the ODI World Cup in India.
Litton could not be with KKR from the beginning because of the series against Ireland. He left Dhaka last Sunday evening.
Shakib, who played seven seasons in the IPL, said while inaugurating a restaurant in the capital today that he had no talk with Litton about the IPL. However, he expressed his wish about the teammate of the national team.
"No advice given (about IPL). There was no talk about it. But I'm sure Litton is much more experienced now. The experience he will get there will be useful in the World Cup. At the same time, if he gets the opportunity, I want him to enjoy it, if he can enjoy it and not take it as pressure, if he can play like him, then he will be successful" said Shakib
Kolkata's next match is next Friday, against Sunrisers Hyderabad. They have won two of their first three matches.
