Four people lost their lives in Langadu, Rangamati, after a lightning strike on Saturday. Three others were injured and have been admitted to the Upazila Health Complex.
The incident occurred when a boat returning to Vasanyadam after a market visit was struck by lightning. The officer-in-charge (OC) of Longadu Police Station, Harunur Rashid, confirmed the details.
Hazrat Ali, Chairman of Vasanyadam Union Parishad, stated that three individuals were killed in the boat. The victims were identified as boat driver Akkas (35), Ziaul Haque (40), and Bachchu Mia (30).
Additionally, Rina Begum (36), a resident of Tila and chairman of the Karlyachhari Union, also died due to a lightning strike.
