Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places of the country, reports BSS.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rangpur, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” according to a BMD bulletin. Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added. Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.2 degrees Celsius at Khulna in Khulna division while the lowest one was recorded 22.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division on Saturday.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00 am on Saturday was recorded 82 milimeters (mm) at Sayedpur in Rangpur division. Saturday’s sunset in Dhaka at 06.44 pm and today’s sunrise will be at 5.10am.
