A Briefing and Sensitization workshop for engineers of Local Government and Engineering Department (LGED) under the project of `WeCARE’ was held in Chuadanga on Thursday. The workshop was held at the conference room of Executive Engineer of Chuadanga District LGED.
An inaugural function was arranged on the occasion. The function was presided over by Momin Mojibul Hoque Somaji, project director of `WeCARE’ while Amitabh Sana, executive engineer of District LGED spoke as chief guest.
Momin Mojibul Hoque Somaji, project director of WeCARE Project, presented key note paper at the workshop. Executive Engineers of Sadar, Alamdanga, Damurhuda and Jibannagar Upazilas’ LGED and other officials of the department took part at the workshop.
Production of crops, giving marketing facilities of the farmers, high speed internet facility and on line baking system would be introduced for progress and prosperity of farmers under the project.
On the other hand distressed women will be provided in the work of road maintenance and cleanliness of the haats and markets in rural areas.
Amitabh Sana, Executive Engineer of District LGED said very soon the activities of `We Care Project’ will be started in Chuadanga district.
