‘Let’s try to build a united society’

J­amaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Central Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said let us try to build a united society. There should not be any division. Let unity be the beauty and prosperity of the nation.

The Jamaat Ameer came up with the assertion while speaking as the chief guest at a meeting held at Sahid Palace in Chuadanga town on Saturday. Chaudanga district unit Jamaat Ameer Ruhul Amin presided over the meeting.

Dr Shafiqur Rahman said on the basis of consensus, we the people of country have given the responsibility to the interim government. If they do something good, the people of the country will be benefitted. I will be benefitted; you will be benefitted. However, if they make any mistake, we will point out that. We will rectify that. 

Some issues have come to our attention. We have given them advice and got positive result. We should pray for them as human being so that they do not do anything by going beyond the expectation and conscience of the nation.

He said just like India, we are a country as well. We have other neighbouring countries besides India. There are many other countries in the world. We have the same thing to say to all of them. We the members of the world community will go forward on the basis of mutual respect and equality.

Chudanga district unit Jamaat Secretary Advocate Asaduzzaman moderated the meeting. Central Executive Committee Member Mobarak Hossain and Mehepur district Ameer Maolana Tajuddin spoke as specials guests at the meeting.

The meeting started with the Holy Quran recitation by Hafez Abdul Khalek. Kushtia district unit Jamaat Ameer Professor Abul Hashim, Chuadanga district Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Maolana Azizur Rahman, Assistant Secretary Advocate Masud Parvez Rasel, Abdul Kader, former Ameer of district Jamaat Anwarul Haque Malik, Meherpur Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Maolana Mahbub Alam, Meherpur district Jamaat Secretary Iqbal Hossain and others were also present at that time.

Responsible members of Chaudanga and Meherpur district Jamaat participated in the meeting.
