Law enforcers are ready all over the country to ensure the law and order situation during the three-day blockade programme called by BNP-Jamaat.
Along with Ansar, Police, RAB, there is also a specialised patrol team of BGB in the field.
DMP sources said that BNP leaders and activists were involved in mass violence on October 28. One policeman was killed and 41 others (policemen) were injured. Keeping such a situation in mind, special security measures have been
taken by the law and order forces during the three-day blockade programme.
Mentionable that on Monday evening (October 30), RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moeen said RAB has taken adequate security measures to ensure safety of people's lives and property and to protect state property and assets to keep public life normal during the siege.
More than three hundred patrol teams of 15 battalions of RAB will be deployed to ensure security. Besides, nationwide intelligence surveillance activities will continue. If anyone plans any kind of sabotage or violence, he will be immediately identified and brought under the purview of law.
BGB public relations officer Shariful Islam said the BGB has been patrolling important highways and places in the country including the capital Dhaka since Monday night. Adequate number of BGB members has been deployed across the country to control the law and order situation.
Members of BGB's specialised Rapid Action Team (RAT) are patrolling in Dhaka. BGB will work to prevent disorder if goods transportation is obstructed anywhere. BGB has increased activity, especially in the security of highways and railways.
