A day-long national workshop on ‘Landslide Disaster Risk Reduction Approaches in Bangladesh: Special Attention on the Kutupalong Rohingya Camp, Cox’s Bazar’ was held on Sunday at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University (DU) under the auspices of DU Disaster Science and Climate Resilience Department. State Minister for Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman, MP was present as chief guest while Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal presided over the workshop.

State Minister for Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman said, Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has achieved tremendous success in disaster risk reduction management.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal said that participants involved in disaster management sector would be highly benefitted from this workshop. He stressed the need for undertaking co-ordinated measures on disaster risk reduction and creating public awareness.
