Land Service Week ends in Mymensingh

With the aim of increasing public awareness about all online services related to land, public awareness meeting titled ‘Smart Land Service, Smart Citizen’ marking Land Service Week 2024 held in Mymensingh.

The meeting was held on Monday (June 10) in the conference room of the office of Mymensingh district administration. Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Dider-E-Alam Mohammad Maksud Chowdhury presided over the meeting. 

The Deputy Commissioner also distributed prizes among the winning students and the best officials and employees of the land office in the quiz competition on the occasion of land service.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Revenue Shihab Uddin Ahmad moderated the meeting. Mymensingh Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Iftekhar Yunus, Revenue Deputy Collector Dilruba Islam, Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Asaduzzaman Roni, hero freedom fighter Kamal Pasha, General Secretary Md. Nazrul Islam of Mymensingh Divisional Islam and others took part in the discussion.

Although smart land services provide easy, instant and smart solutions to many land-related problems, a large number of citizens are still unaware of these services. The government is taking various steps to increase the awareness of land service beneficiaries about the fast moving digitalization process, said Deputy Commissioner Dider-E-Alam Mohammad Maksud Chowdhury. 

Services provided by Land Services at district level include online registration for collection of land development tax, receiving and delivering of application for receipt of certified copy of Khatian, giving check for compensation of settled LA cases, acceptance of application for release of vested property in view of judgment received from assigned tribunal or assigned appellate tribunal. 

Moreover, there are services for online registration for receiving land development tax online at the upazila level, receiving e-mutation application, handing over settlement documents of settled land among the landless and accepting application for Jolmohal lease online.

The speaker expressed hope in the meeting that all the citizens of the country would be informed about the multifaceted benefits of Smart Bangladesh's smart land services and be interested in receiving high quality land services.
