KSRM joins Universal Pension Scheme

The officers and employees of KSRM, one of the steel producing industrial groups of the country, are now covered under the National Pension Scheme announced by the Prime Minister. 

On this occasion, a program was organized at KSRM Steel Plant in the joint initiative of Sitakunda Upazila Administration and KSRM.  KSRM is the first industrial group in the country to bring its officers and employees under the pension scheme.

Agreeing to the proposal of Sitakunda Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) KM Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director of KSRM Shahriar Jahan Rahat took this initiative.  About 1 thousand officers and employees of Sitakunda KSRM Steel Plant have come under the National Pension Scheme.  

Other officers and employees will come under this program in phases.  As part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the KSRM authority will pay the first installments of the National Pension Scheme to the officers.  

KSRM Steel Plant was attended by UNO KM Rafiqul Islam, KSRM Director (Plant) Commodore (retd) MS Kabir, Deputy General Manager (HR & Administration) Md Wahidu­zzaman, Media Advisor Mizanul Islam and senior officials of KSRM were present.

UNO KM Rafiqul Islam said, the financial support given by the KSRM authorities to launch the universal pension scheme for the officers and employees will be an exemplary example across the country.  By doing this, the way to ensure the future financial security of the employees in the organization is smooth.
