Krishna Rani Sarkar, forward of the Bangladesh national women’s football team suffered a lot for her right foot pain last year. Despite having treatment at home and abroad, it took long time to recover. This time also her inclusion in h SAFF squad was uncertain
However, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will included the experienced forward in the Nepal bound team, scheduled to leave Dhaka for Kathmandu on October 15.
Meanwhile, the national team’s head coach Peter Butler has already finalized the 23-member squad and submitted it to the federation.
In the last SAFF Championship, Krishna had big contribution to win the title for Bangladesh.
Krishna scored four goals in the tournament, including two in the final.
The English coach Butler shaped the team with young and experienced booters.
Apart from Krishna, Sagarika, Captain Sabina Khatun, Tahura Khatun and Shamsunnahar Junior are the players of attacking position. Experienced players like Monika Chakma, Maria Manda, Rituparna Chakma are in the midfield. Afida Khandkar and Shiuli Azim along with Masura Parveen are in the defence.
