Harinakundu municipal unit of Bangladesh Krishak League (KL) was formed at the second session of their conference on Thursday afternoon. Anwar Hossain was selected president and Abdur Razzaque as general secretary of the 61-member committee.
KL sources said the conference preparation committee chaired by its convener Anwar Hossain organized the conference at Priyanath school and college premises where ruling Awami League Harinakundu upazila unit president, and municipality mayor Shahinur Rahman Rintu attended as chief guest. Bangladesh Krishak League upazila unit convener Abdullah Al Baqi, probable mayoral candidate Abu Asad Runu and Jhenidah-2 seat lawyer Tahjib Alam Siddiqee’s delegate Asaduzzaman present as special guests.
Shahinur Rahman Rintu is also a probable mayoral aspirant in the upcoming elections.
AL leader Salahuddin Bulu, KL leader Krishna Biswas, Shamsul Islam, Sariful Islam and Manwar Hossain among others present. A number of Krishak League leaders and activists were also present during the conference.
