Bashundhara Kings celebrated their 100th league match of the Bangladesh Premier League football drubbing Brothers Union by 7-1 at the Muktijuddho Smriti Stadium, Rajshahi on Saturday.
The reigning champions Bashundhara after winning the match made the tally 25 from 10 outings with eight wins, one draw and as many defeat to remain on top of the table and five points ahead of the closer contenders Mohammedan Sporting Club.
However, in the goal-galore match Saad Uddin initiated the scoring with slamming home the first one on 20th minute taking an advantage of off-side trap (1-0).
Robson Robinho with the combination of his compatriot Miguel scored the second goal on just on half an hour mark of the match (2-0).
Miguel, who scored a couple of goals led Bashundhara to 3-0 on 37th minute when Rimon set a cross inside area after dodging past a marker, Robin made a dummy and Miguel short past the keeper (3-0).
Mfon Udoh made the tally 4-0 on 41st minute following almost an open net miss.
In the almost a one-way traffic encounter Elita Kingsley headed home to make the first half tally 4-1.
Bashundhara after the opening 45 minutes game made a fresh start of the second half with Sohel Rana opening the net on 51st minute to advantage the lead 5-1 when the forward just pushed the into net from a handshake distance.
Miguel scored his second and sixth for Bashundhara on 58th minute and this time the Brazilian just beat all his markers with as superb sprint with the ball and finally beat the goalkeeper before to send it into post (6-0).
Mfon Udoh struck his second and closed the sheet on 68th minute to make the difference 7-1 broke the defense line before to shot past the keeper.
