Khulna University (KU) will commence its new academic program on Sunday August 18, following a recent meeting between the Vice-Chancellor and academic leaders.
The decision was made during a session held on Thursday at the Shahid Tajuddin Ahmad administration building, chaired by VC Professor Dr Mahmud Hossain.
The meeting began with a tribute to the victims of the anti-discrimination student movement, honoring those who lost their lives and wishing a swift recovery for the injured.
The discussion focused on aligning with the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government's directives to initiate the academic term. It was confirmed that classes will officially start on August 18.
Additionally, outlining key dates: course registration will take place from August 18 to August 29, with classes running from August 25 to November 21. Preparatory leave is scheduled from November 22 to December 3, and examinations will be held from December 4 to December 24.
Puja holidays are set from October 9 to October 17, but pre-scheduled winter breaks on December 26, 29, 30, and 31 have been canceled.
