Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Hafez Mufti Maulana Ruhul Amin has been removed.

A press release from the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Sunday announced his removal.

Ruhul Amin suddenly went to offer jumma prayers at Baitul Mukarram last Friday. At that time, the Muslim devotees of both sides clashed inside the mosque.

According to the notification of the Ministry of Religion, Mufti Ruhul Amin, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, has been removed from the post of Khatib following due process.

Khatib Hafez Mufti Maulana Mohammad Ruhul Amin of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque was on the run after the fall of the Awami League government in the uprising of the students on August 5.

Since then the officials of the Islamic Foundation have been conducting Jumma prayers. But when Ruhul Amin suddenly went to offer Jumma prayers last Friday, the Muslim devotees expressed their inability to pray behind him. The devotees of both sides clashed in the mosque and the mosque was vandalized.
