State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury on Sunday paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his grave at Tungipara in Gopalganj. During the visit, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury along with others also offered Fateha at the graves of the Father of the Nation and his family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls.
Later, the minister distributed warm clothes among the cold hit-people at a function at the auditorium of Tungipara Upazila Parishad. Additional Secretary of Shipping Ministry Bhola Nath Dey, BIWTA chairman Commodore M Mahbub Ul Islam, Joint-Chief of Shipping Ministry Rafique Ahmed Siddique, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC- ICT & Education) of Gopalganj Abdullah Al Baki, ASP (Sadar circle) Mohammad Sanowar Hossain, Tungipara upazila Awami League general secretary Abul Bashad Khayer and Tungipara municipality Mayor Sheikh Ahmed Hossain Mirza were also present at the time, among others.
