In just six years, actress Keya Payel has become a prominent name on Bangladeshi television. She has appeared in over a hundred tele-fictions and is known for her on-screen chemistry with actors like Apurba, Farhan Ahmed Jovan, and Musfiq R Farhan.
Recent violence related to quota protests caused many film and TV shootings to be paused, including three projects featuring Keya Payel. Keya plans to resume shooting from July 31. She will work on two new projects: one with director Vicky Zahed and another with director Mohon Ahmed, both of which will be filmed outside Dhaka.
Though Keya has acted in only one television series, ‘Joint Family’, she prefers working in tele-fictions and telefilms. She finds it challenging to juggle both serials and one-hour fictions, so she focuses on the latter.
Keya has received offers for roles in OTT platforms but has not yet found a story or character that intrigues her. She is waiting for the right opportunity to make her debut in the OTT space.
Recently, Keya was offered a role in a government-supported film but declined the opportunity because she was not satisfied with the script. She remains focused on her current projects and hopes to explore other opportunities in the future.
Keya enjoys working with all her co-stars and does not have a favorite. She has appeared in more than 50 tele-fictions with Jovan and numerous projects with Apurba, Musfiq Farhan, and others.
In her free time, Keya loves traveling with her family. Exploring new places and meeting new people inspires her and contributes to her acting skills.
