It has been alleged that Siddiqur Rahman of 10 No. Jalalpur Union obtained appointment as the temporary marriage registrar by forging the signature of Mosleh Uddin, the marriage registrar of Jalalpur Union in Katiadi Upazila of Kishoreganj.

Not only that, he also forged a memorandum of the Kishoreganj District Registrar's Office and obtained a temporary appointment from the Ministry. However, the local administration is not taking any action against Md. Siddiqur Rahman even though there is evidence against him. Md. Zillur Rahman has lodged a complaint with the deputy commissioner in this regard seeking redressal.

According to the complaint, Md. Mosleh Uddin was working as the marriage registrar of Jalalpur Union. A fake resignation was arranged by forging his signature by Siddiqur. Later, Siddiqur obtained appointment as the temporary marriage registrar by forging a memorandum of Kishoreganj District Registrar's Office.

In the light of the complaint, the Ministry directed the District Registrar of Kishoreganj to investigate and submit the Memorandum. The then District Registrar Md. Rafiqul Islam submitted a self-contained report to the Ministry in this connection.

According to the report, no letter regarding the resignation of the then marriage registrar Md. Mosleh Uddin was submitted to the district registrar's office. Moreover, no letter has been sent to the Law Secretary regarding the appointment or resignation of the Registrar of Marriages in the memorandum.

On the basis of the allegations brought later, a notice was issued to Siddiqur Rahman. When Md. Siddiqur Rahman's reply to show cause was submitted to the Judiciary Branch-7 of the Ministry, Md. Siddiqur Rahman was exempted from the charge as there was no opportunity to present the precise information regarding the allegations against him in the relevant documents. This tarnished the image of the ministry. Despite repeated complaints, no remedy was found, the plaintiff said.

Accused Siddiqur Rahman said, "I was appointed as a marriage registrar from the law ministry. After the appointment, the matter of forgery was investigated and I was released from that investigation."

Complainant Md. Zillur Rahman said, "Md. Siddiqur Rahman forged the signatures, which amounts to deception. As a citizen, I demand a fair trial for a fraudster like Siddiqur through a proper investigation. "

Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner Md. Sarwar Murshed Chowdhury said, “I have received a written complaint in this regard. The complaint will be investigated and necessary action will be taken.”
