Shah Rukh Khan's latest film "Jawan" is off to a remarkable start at the box office, setting new records in Bollywood. The much-anticipated movie, directed by Atlee, made its theatrical debut on September 7 and emerged as the highest-grossing Bollywood opener in history. With astounding figures of Rs 75 crore on its first day in India and a worldwide tally surpassing Rs 150 crore, "Jawan" has solidified its status as a blockbuster.
Kangana Ranaut, known for her candid opinions, took to her Instagram story to express admiration for Shah Rukh Khan and the film's team. She lauded Shah Rukh Khan as the "cinema God that India needs" and extended her congratulations to the entire "Jawan" crew.
In her heartfelt note, Kangana Ranaut reflected on Shah Rukh Khan's exceptional journey in the film industry. She acknowledged his transformation from being the beloved romantic hero of the 1990s to a dedicated artiste who persevered through a decade-long struggle to reconnect with his audience. Kangana highlighted Shah Rukh Khan's resurgence during his late forties and early fifties to ultimately emerging as the quintessential Indian mass superhero, even at the age of nearly 60.
Kangana wrote, "From being the ultimate lover boy of the nineties to a decade-long struggle again to reinvent his connection with his audience to his late forties to mid-fifties and ultimately rising as the quintessential Indian mass superhero at the age of 60 (almost) is nothing short of superheroic even in real life."
She continued by emphasising the significance of Shah Rukh Khan's journey as an inspiration for artistes with enduring careers who must constantly reinvent themselves. "Jawan" is a multi-lingual film, that was released worldwide in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The star-studded cast includes Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Deepika Padukone in an extended cameo.
