Kanaighat Association UK’s full-fledged committee formed

Kanaighat Association UK, a platform of Bangladeshi (Kanaighat, Sylhet)-origin people living in the United Kingdom, has announced its full committee for 2019-2021 session. The 41-member full-fledged committee was announced at a Special General Meeting (SGM) held at Hardford Multicentre in East London recently.

President of the organisation Nazirul Islam chaired the function, while its secretary Mohammed Mokhlisur Rahman moderated it.

11 vice-presidents, three joint secretaries and other officer bearers were included in the committee. The vice president of the committee are Azmol Ali, Faruk Ahmed, Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury, Prof Abdul Malik, Maulana Abdus Sobhan, Anisul Haque, Siraj Uddin, Sadekul Amin, Abul Fateh, and Shuyebur Rahman. The joint secretaries are Jakaria Siddique, Jalal Uddin (Bablu) and Harun Rashid. Some of office bearers are-- treasurer Ahmed Iqbal Chowdhury, assistant treasures Solaiman Ahmed Patowary and Emad Uddin Rana, organising secretary Faruk Ahmed Chowdhury, assistant organising secretary Hasan Raza.

The Advisory Committee members are Hafiz Maulana Abu Sayeed, Alhajj Mokhlisur Rahman, Mohammad Sirajul Islam, Maulana Rafique Ahmed, Barrister Kutub Uddin Ahmed Shikder, Ijjat Ullah, Abul Kaher Chowdhury, Foyzur Rahman and Abdur Rahman.

Talking to the Bangladesh Post, Mohammed Mokhlisur Rahman said that a number of members joined the meeting where the participants discussed the development at Kanaighat and the future activities of the organisation.
